Monate Events has been at the forefront of fusing South African House Music with Main Stream House Music. Monate Events thrives on bringing the Southern African sound to the masses both new and old to the House Music scene. The resident Djs at Monate events consist of a formidable trio consisting of ADA Awards African House DJ 2013 recipient Limbzo Housa and upcoming South African DJ Logic Senya whose spear headed by Khaya Deep & Mzi Sokani.
Monate Events concept has seen the House masses cultivate and embrace 2013 summer weekends by partying away to the fortnightly “Monate Sundaes” event. These events saw artists and DJs such as Marissa Guzman, Candice McKenzie, and Aluku Rebels amongst others add to the cache of vibrant house music flavour the Monate Events endeavours to create at each event. The finale of “Monate Sundaes” at the end of summer left a thirst for revellers who enjoyed an interactive yet revelrous vibe. The peoples support and eagerness to attend future events was apparent by requests for future invites. In turn Monate Events has returned with a blowout line-up of house legends The Layabouts and Superstar vocalist Shea Soul and Atjazz record company wizard of the decks DJ Tipz to kickoff the December festive mood at Islington’s Anam Bar.
Persistence and abstract methods has proved vital to Monate Events success and without giving away too much the masses can look forward to some quality events and in the company of like minded revellers. Upcoming South African DJ Logic Senya is set to make his presence felt making for an interesting year in 2014 for the UK House Scene. The triumphant launch of the first of one of the HOTTEST summer events in London is ‘Monate Sundaes’. Monate Sundae has delivered a new style of lounging to House Music. The event run’s on Sunday’s and offers a calm and relaxed atmosphere to enjoy your Sunday. Monate Sundae creates an environment where one can relax, socialize, network and enjoy an amazing cocktail whilst deep soulful house music helps pass the afternoon away. At night time ‘Monate Sundaes’ becomes a cove of rhythm and sound as shown in the video below. This event is truly for the grown and sexy house lover. Monate Sundae is set in the upbeat and vibrant borough of Angel Islington. Monate Sundae is held every fortnight at Anam Cocktail Bar , 3 Chapel Market ,N19EZ. The doors open 3 PM till 2 AM.
Southern Africans from London and elsewhere have gathered to enjoy an amazing music atmosphere for true house eclectic which was seen on the events launch “Sunday July 28th” which was followed with the sequel on “Sunday 11th August”. The first event featured London artist Aluku Rebels who brought the ethnic and tribal sound of House Music to the forefront. The second event featured Soul Candi’s artist Marissa Guzman from San Francisco. Marissa Guzman had the crowd moving to her hits and transcended the atmosphere to another level with her Deep and Soulful House.
The next event “Monate Sundae” is the 25th August Sunday Bank Holiday. As London will be robust with travelers from near and far this promises to be an amazing event. This event will feature 2 time BAFTA award winning DJ Candice McKenzie. Her latest work can be sampled below:
